The Libertarians Believe that War is Justified Only in Defense- But Why?
Do you believe that the world is united? If yes, then you are probably living in an idealistic world. The liberals, however, do not hold any disagreement with war. Let's find out why!

Competition is a great thing because it forces people to find new and better ways of doing things.
-David Friedman
We cannnot deny that United States has the upper hand in most of the sectors from military to economy. In thsi scenario, it will only be wise when most of the countries have a good tie with US to avoid potential military and trade conflicts. In today’s time USA is considerabley maintaining a good working relations with most conutires and vice-versa. But how would libertarians perceive this? Will they support war to gain domination on the world.
Libertarian Perspective
The liberals believe that war is good only when done in defense. Throughout history, nations have witnessed various catastrophic wars like World Wars I and II. But these were done to gain domination of the world and emerge as superpowers. When viewed from a libertarian perspective, these wars are fought not for defense but for greed. Hence, it would not be wrong to say that liberals believe in violence but only when required. These wars, however, have led to strengthening National ties with India in the contemporary world. Recently, two US agreement ties have been signed with the Indian defense, suggesting growth in political and military alliances. However, liberals would perceive these strengthening alliances only not to use them in the forthcoming future.
Conclusion
Liberals believe that war is good only when done not to subjugate other nations but to protect people and society. In the contemporary world this view seems to have been faded away.
