The brutal incident spiked wide nationwide protests concerning the safety of women. A similar incident in 2012, where a delhi girl was raped and murdered, had seen a similar momentum in terms of protest, and justice was delivered after seven long years of struggle. These two incidents have raised a question mark on the safety of women in the workplace. There have been many cases where the violence against women has been escalating in recent decades. It is time to have a tough Indian Justice system that will help in enforcing the laws, which will lead to a safer environment for women.

One of the core tenets of libertarians is the nonviolence principle. This primarily states that individuals should not initiate force or coercion against others. When we look at it from this perspective, rape is seen as a severe violation of individual rights and a clear-cut example of aggression.
